My brother and I live on two different continents, so we don't see each other very often. For three decades, we had not been able to spend quality time together until the summer of 2016, when he finally managed to visit me for more than just a few days.
During his visit, we dug out a lot of childhood video games to play together and had a lot of fun and laughs.
Besides playing games, we decided to play music together. He picked Por una Cabeza.
We both took a few years of piano lessons when we were little. In adulthood, our musical paths diverged: he plays the guitar, and I mostly put my energy into composing and arranging. My wife is a professional violinist and violist. I quickly arranged the tune in the style of chamber music for guitar, viola, and piano. It was simple enough that we were able to record it during his visit.
Making music with family is such a special experience. We had so much fun that I decided to memorialize our time together with this video.
